Surgical Technologist – UHC Staffing

Surgical Technologist

Location: Dubuque, Iowa

Start Date: 06-14-2026

End Date: 12-09-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities one night per week until 7:00 AM and every fourth weekend from end of shift Friday through Monday 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with precision and care
Assist surgeons during procedures to ensure smooth operations
Maintain sterile fields and handle instruments with expertise
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care
Support efficient case turnover and equipment readiness

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
Current BLS certification
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
Ability to work flexible shifts including on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

Operating room protocols and sterile technique
Surgical instrumentation and equipment handling
Patient safety and infection control practices
Effective communication within surgical teams
