Location: Plantation, Florida

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM with on-call requirements approximately every other day and every other weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical procedures
Ensure sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery and necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team
Record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens
Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Florida or compact license
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting
Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker procedures preferred
Ability to function well independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Open Heart instrumentation and supplies
TEE equipment and Ultrasound
Meditech documentation system
Minimally invasive cardiac procedures experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
