Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Operating Room providing safe, patient-centered perioperative care for cardiovascular and general surgery cases
• Coordinate equipment, instrumentation and implants for complex cases including robotics and CVOR procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia and sterile techs to maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and ensure optimal outcomes
• Use Meditech ORM to document perioperative care accurately and timely
• Respond to on-call assignments within required response time and provide dependable coverage on evenings and weekends
• Support pre-op holding activities and facilitate smooth patient flow between preop, OR and recovery

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years OR circulating experience at an acute care hospital (explicitly required)
• CVOR circulating experience (listed as must-have)
• Varied perioperative experience with General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics and Robotics
• CNOR certification preferred
• Candidates with 5+ years of perioperative experience will be given priority

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong OR circulation skills and CVOR familiarity
• Experience with robotics-assisted surgical workflows
• Comfortable with a variety of procedures: heavy robotics, Gyn, General Surgery, ENT, Colorectal, Vascular, Urology
• Proficient with Meditech ORM or similar EMR systems
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with flexible scheduling
• Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking in high-acuity perioperative settings
