Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and support the cardiac catheterization team during procedures including Left Heart Cath and PCI
• Scrub, monitor, and circulate with attention to sterile technique and patient safety
• Provide comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care and patient education
• Operate and help maintain unit equipment such as GE Innova and MacLab while documenting care accurately in Meditech
• Follow ACLS and BLS protocols and act decisively in emergent situations
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver smooth, high-quality care
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond as needed to support the unit

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Travel RN) experience — this role recruits travel RNs
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience (explicit requirement)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Proven ability to scrub, monitor, and circulate in a cath lab environment
• Experience with procedures such as Left Heart Cath, PCI, pacemakers, TEE, stress testing, and loop recorders
• Familiarity with GE Innova, MacLab systems and Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a professional bedside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and sterile technique
• Proficiency in patient monitoring and intra-procedural support
• Comfort using GE Innova and MacLab imaging systems
• Accurate clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
• Strong ACLS/BLS clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork
