Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for ICU patients in a Burn/Trauma/Surgical environment, maintaining a 2:1 ICU patient ratio
• Perform and manage complex procedures such as wound care, EVD management, and Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR and ensure timely handoffs
• Think critically and act decisively during codes and other high-acuity events
• Float to related units (MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, PCU) as needed while maintaining standards of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (experience in Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU is a must)
• Comfort and experience with critical care equipment and procedures (wound care, EVDs, MTP)
• Strong communication skills and critical thinking — you’ll be part of a team-based unit
• Willingness to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU as needed

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on critical care experience in Trauma, Burn, Surgical, or Medical ICU settings
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Skilled in wound care, EVD management, and Massive Transfusion Protocols
• Able to manage high-acuity patients at a 2:1 ratio and collaborate with the care team
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
