Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients, maintaining appropriate 2:1 patient ratios
• Manage advanced critical care equipment and therapies including EVDs and Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)
• Perform wound care and respond effectively during codes and emergencies
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR to ensure seamless patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate with patients and families, and support unit continuity
• Float to related ICUs/PCU as needed while maintaining clinical competence and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience (experience noted as 1)
• Demonstrated Trauma, Burn or Surgical ICU experience (must have)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills (must have)
• BSN (preferred)
• CCRN (preferred)
• Comfortable with floating to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care fundamentals
• Experience with critical care equipment and technologies used in Burn and Trauma ICUs
• Meditech EMR documentation experience
• Wound care, EVD management, and participation in MTP
• Effective communication, teamwork and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with maintaining 2:1 ICU patient ratios
