Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams (radiology and CT) with competence and care
• Position patients for optimal imaging results and ensure their comfort and safety
• Operate and monitor imaging equipment, troubleshooting and notifying management of issues
• Produce consistent, high-quality images and maintain accurate documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all federal and state regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations and equipment failures
• Assist with patient scheduling, phone triage, and departmental coordination
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and department compliance activities

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) — required
• BLS certification — required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an Associate of Science degree
• Experience performing imaging in at least two modalities
• Two years acute care experience preferred; experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may substitute
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and adapt to changing priorities

Education

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited Radiology Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skill in radiologic imaging and quality image production
• Patient positioning and age-appropriate care techniques
• CT imaging competence and multi-modality experience
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation standards
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct
• Equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and emergency response
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
