Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general X-ray exams across multiple rooms and settings (inpatient, ED, OR, portable)
• Operate fluoroscopy and assist with OR imaging and C-arm procedures when needed
• Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portable units to meet patient needs
• Accurately document studies and chart in EPIC and manage imaging in SECTRA/PACS
• Maintain radiation safety practices, wear required radiation badge, and use personal lead markers
• Respond professionally and promptly to trauma and urgent imaging needs (radiologist on-site 24/7)
• Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring dignity, comfort, and clear communication
• Participate in department orientation and follow unit-specific policies and supervisor guidance

Qualifications

• Current ARRT RT (R) certification required
• Radiologic Technologist license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant radiology experience
• Prior OR imaging and fluoroscopy experience required
• Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
• Must have your own lead markers
• IV starting skills are useful but not mandatory
• Experience with EPIC and SECTRA or similar EMR/PACS is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong proficiency in General X-ray and Fluoroscopy procedures
• Comfortable with OR imaging workflows and sterile/OR environment protocols
• Portable radiography skills for inpatient and ED settings
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and SECTRA/PACS imaging systems
• Experience with GE, Shimadzu and OEC equipment and troubleshooting basics
• Ability to float across modalities and prioritize high-volume workloads
• Solid radiation safety practices, use of radiation badge and lead markers
• Basic Windows computer skills and comfortable learning department software
• C-arm experience is a plus
