Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the acute care/inpatient rehab setting and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver therapeutic procedures to improve patient function and mobility
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, progress notes and plans accurately in Cerner PowerChart
• Use patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove) and safe transfer techniques
• Communicate evaluation results and progress to patients, families and staff to support discharge planning
• Maintain professional street-clothes dress code while providing compassionate patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience (Experience: 2) — acute care experience preferred (at least 1 year preferred)
• Experience with orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary patient populations is helpful
• Proven documentation skills in Cerner PowerChart or similar EMR

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient evaluation and care planning skills
• Skilled in therapeutic procedures and mobility interventions
• Experience with patient lifting equipment and safe transfer techniques
• Comfortable working in an acute care/inpatient rehab environment with 1:1 patient ratios
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Proficient documentation practices in Cerner PowerChart
