Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Day shift, 5 hours (exact start/end times TBD); ambulatory (orientation required)

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, check them in, and verify demographic and insurance information
Obtain and record vital signs and basic clinical measurements accurately
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during ambulatory visits
Collect and label specimens following appropriate infection control procedures
Document patient interactions and clinical data in the electronic health record
Coordinate patient follow-ups, referrals, and appointment scheduling
Contribute to a safe, efficient clinic environment by maintaining supplies and equipment

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred
High school diploma or GED required; medical assisting diploma/certificate preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
Prior ambulatory/clinic experience is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to complete 5-hour shifts and attend an orientation session as required

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate/diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer skills
Skill in taking accurate vitals and performing point-of-care testing
Knowledge of phlebotomy and specimen handling best practices
Familiarity with infection control standards and clinical safety protocols
Strong organizational skills for scheduling, documentation, and multi-tasking
