Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and daily clinical support for the facility’s population
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility protocols
• Perform consistent patient assessments and document findings clearly and timely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized treatment plans
• Maintain safety and security standards appropriate for a substance abuse treatment setting
• Support admissions, discharges and transitions of care with professionalism
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when needed

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license in good standing
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program (LVN)
• Demonstrated reliability with GOOD attendance (this assignment requires consistent coverage)
• No TOR (termination on record) — clean work history preferred
• Comfortable working Tue–Sat schedule and following facility policies
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent (LVN program graduate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment, vital signs, and basic clinical care proficiency
• Experience or comfort working in a correctional/substance-abuse treatment environment is a plus
• Good clinical judgment, safety awareness and infection control practices
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff and administration
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts and handle multiple priorities
