Location: Florence, AL

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Nights, 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care during night shifts to support patient comfort and clinical needs
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to policy
Perform focused patient assessments and promptly report changes in condition
Collaborate with nursing peers and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and transitions
Complete accurate charting, shift handoffs, and medication records
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Active LPN or RN license (eligible to work in Alabama)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Comfortable working night shift hours and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills

Education

High school diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited LPN or RN nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and nursing documentation
Infection control and safety best practices
Electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
Team collaboration and clear communication
