Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM, Night

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care plans
Respond promptly to resident needs and clinical emergencies
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, including handoffs

Qualifications

Current LPN or RN licensure in Alabama (appropriate active license required)
Clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shift
Current immunizations and background checks as required by facility

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Experience with wound care, ADL support, and chronic condition management
Familiarity with electronic health record charting and handoff procedures
Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
