Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients during night shifts
• Administer medications safely and accurately according to orders
• Monitor and document vital signs, assessments, and clinical changes
• Perform timely interventions and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort and dignity
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and complete thorough handoffs
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies
• Support a collaborative environment with clear communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN licensure (eligible to practice in Alabama)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Comfortable working night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program for Licensed Practical Nurse
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Registered Nurse (as applicable)
• State licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment and monitoring of clinical status
• Charting/EMR proficiency and clear clinical documentation
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Patient education and family communication
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork during busy shifts
