Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Assess patient condition and report changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in the state of Alabama)
• Experience working in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and communicate effectively with team members
• Comfortable with electronic charting and timely documentation

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (for LPN) or nursing program (for RN)
• Additional certifications or continuing education encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and observation skills
• Medication administration and medication safety practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night shifts
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
