Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document accordingly
• Assess and monitor patient condition; report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (New Mexico licensure or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical nursing experience preferred; per diem or acute care experience is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (as required for LPN licensure)
• RN: ADN or BSN (as appropriate for RN licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Charting in electronic health records
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Prioritization, time management, and basic emergency response
• Collaborative skills for working in an interdisciplinary team
