Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the patient record
• Monitor patients' conditions, recognize changes, and communicate concerns to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, providers and support staff to coordinate smooth handoffs and continuity of care
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers with attention to detail and patient education
• Support infection prevention standards and maintain a safe clinical environment overnight
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or acute/rehab settings is a plus
• Ability to work night shift rotations and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication skills and dependable clinical judgment

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited LPN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Vital signs assessment and patient monitoring overnight
• Wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
• Charting in electronic health records and clear handoff communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients during night shift
• Familiarity with standard infection control practices
