Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including medication administration and assessment under LPN scope
• Monitor vital signs, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support RN staff with treatments, wound care, and patient education to promote recovery
• Coordinate safe patient transfers and assist with activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and follow facility protocols
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact/state-appropriate license)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working an evening shift with every-other-weekend coverage
• Clinical experience caring for adults in an acute or long-term care setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (LPN program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and recognition of clinical changes
• Basic wound care and infection control procedures
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation familiarity
