Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document patient responses
• Perform thorough patient assessments; monitor and report changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate closely with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver personalized care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in clinical records and follow facility policies
• Support residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or ability to obtain state licensure quickly
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Strong medication administration and wound care skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative care team

Education

• Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic nursing assessments, vital signs, and routine charting
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control standards and resident safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
