Location: Florence, AL

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (varies), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Glenwood Center
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
Perform focused assessments and communicate changes to the care team
Document patient care, observations, and interventions clearly and promptly
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create safe care plans
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions while maintaining dignity
Support infection control, safety protocols, and facility standards

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (or Registered Nurse where applicable)
Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and managing patient care overnight
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but motivated new grads are welcome

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program for RNs
Ongoing professional development encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

Strong medication administration and documentation skills
Skilled in patient assessment and recognizing clinical changes
Familiarity with wound care, ADL assistance, and basic restorative nursing
Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night shifts
Comfortable using electronic health records and standard nursing documentation
