Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality direct nursing care to residents in the Bear Canyon Rehab Center
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Perform thorough assessments and document patient responses and progress
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and their families
Support resident mobility, activities of daily living, and promote dignity
Respond promptly to clinical changes and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligible to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and resident assessments
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred

Education

Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational training

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational nursing knowledge including medication administration and vital signs
Ability to perform focused assessments and document accurately
Familiarity with electronic charting and basic computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and compassion for older adults and rehab patients
Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
