Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and supportive infusion therapies safely and compassionately
• Assess and monitor oncology patients before, during, and after infusions
• Collaborate closely with oncology providers and the interdisciplinary care team
• Utilize acuity-based staffing tools to prioritize safe staffing and patient needs
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side-effect management, and safety

Qualifications

• BLS certification — REQUIRED
• Experience in infusion nursing, oncology care, and chemotherapy administration
• IV therapy skills and comfort managing infusion equipment and protocols
• ONS or ANCC oncology certification — PREFERRED
• Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork mindset
• Ability to meet regional performance expectations and maintain professional standards

• Chemotherapy safety and administration best practices
• Acuity-based staffing processes and prioritization
• IV therapy techniques and infusion pump management
• Effective communication with oncology providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Patient education and supportive care for oncology populations
