Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for geriatric residents
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote resident comfort and independence
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities and observations
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident receives individualized attention and dignity

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification (required)
Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with compassion and respect
Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
Accurate documentation and charting practices
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
Compassionate resident-centered communication
