Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Support safe and respectful mealtime assistance and nutritional needs
Document care activities accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Foster positive relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and patients with complex needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Willingness to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules
Background check and any facility-required screenings must be cleared

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
Safe patient handling and basic mobility assistance techniques
Basic infection control and hygiene practices
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
Compassion, patience, and strong observational skills
