Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, assisting with daily living activities
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to promote independence
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support mealtimes and feeding needs while encouraging dignity and autonomy
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
Collaborate respectfully with nurses, therapists, and family members to enhance resident well-being
Contribute to a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Active state-required documentation and any facility-specific credentials
Comfortable working with older adults and a desire to provide dignified, respectful care
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans
Background checks and immunizations as required by the facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of personal care techniques for geriatric residents
Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
Good teamwork, communication, and documentation abilities
Compassion, patience, and a respectful approach to resident-centered care
