Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Position patients accurately and operate CT equipment following established protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic images
• Maintain imaging records, assist with image post-processing, and ensure PACS uploads are complete
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies at all times
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance needs to keep the department running smoothly
• Provide compassionate patient education and clear communication before, during, and after exams

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience (as listed in the job details)
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography or CT preferred (or equivalent state registration)
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
• Active state licensure as required by Tennessee and ability to work on a travel assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working the 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM shift and adapting to site-specific protocols

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program preferred
• ARRT registration or equivalent strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
• Experience with PACS and common imaging software/workflows
• Patient positioning and IV contrast administration familiarity
• Ability to prioritize workload in a busy radiology environment
• Attention to detail for image quality and documentation
