Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and toileting while promoting patient dignity
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Hands-on patient care experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Vital signs measurement and basic patient observation
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting and documentation practices
• Ability to follow care plans and infection control procedures
• Teamwork, time management, and compassionate bedside manner
