Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team to ensure timely, high-quality care
• Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently as directed
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, comfortable patient environments and follow infection control procedures
• Document care activities and observations clearly in patient records to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (or equivalent) — state credential required
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Willingness to complete background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to following facility policies and procedures

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care techniques
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to recognize and report changes in patient status
• Good interpersonal skills and a positive bedside manner
