Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff promptly
Support safe transfers and ambulation while following facility protocols
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
Help create a warm, home-like environment and engage residents in meaningful activities
Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (CT) or active state registry as required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
Familiarity with basic charting and documentation
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
Interpersonal skills to interact kindly with residents and families
