Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility using safe body mechanics
• Document interventions and observations clearly and timely
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated care
• Offer emotional support to patients and families with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (California or eligibility to obtain)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and responding calmly in urgent situations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Professional, reliable, and patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
• Infection control and basic clinical safety practices
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
