Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans that improve outcomes
• Implement and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies safely and effectively
• Design, launch, and refine nutrition programs that support community and hospital goals
• Provide clear direction and mentorship to food service staff to ensure consistent nutrition services
• Perform thorough nutritional assessments and document interventions and progress
• Lead quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of nutrition care
• Collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients, families, and staff about nutrition plans and best practices for recovery

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) — required
• Washington State Dietitian certification required within three (3) months of hire
• Comfortable performing nutritional assessments and managing parenteral and enteral nutrition
• Ability to lift 7 pounds overhead and push/pull a tray cart approximately 300 feet
• Experience or knowledge in program development and quality assurance in nutrition services
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clinical teams and food service staff
