Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while following care plans
Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear communication across the team
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and coworkers
Build positive relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
Reliable, professional, and compassionate attitude with strong teamwork skills
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience is a plus but not always required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong hands-on patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
Basic vital signs measurement and patient observation
Clear verbal and written communication for effective handoffs
Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
Respect for resident dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences
Comfort with documentation in electronic or paper charting systems
