Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
Support residents with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with teammates
Contribute to a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents
Participate in team huddles and support facility quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (or eligible for state certification)
Prefer prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic approach to care
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control best practices
Comfort assisting with ADLs, mobility, and basic resident assessments
Good communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
Ability to follow care plans, documentation protocols, and safety procedures
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed
