Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort and dignity
• Monitor and document resident status, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance following facility protocols
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain accurate, timely charting

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active CNA registration or license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain)
• Comfortable working night shifts and providing hands-on resident care
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Prior long-term care or acute care experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and successful certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and ADL assistance
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Comfort with charting and documenting resident care
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from RNs/LPNs
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for older adults
