Location: North Cape May, NJ

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Variable days (per-diem scheduling), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs accurately to help the clinical team monitor patient status
Assist with feeding and toileting while preserving dignity and comfort
Observe and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control practices
Document care performed in facility charts clearly and on time
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support personalized care plans

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Jersey
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous CNA experience preferred but dedicated new CNAs with training are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques (ADLs, transfers, ambulation)
Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control practices and PPE use
Safe resident handling and body mechanics
Clear oral and written communication with patients and team members
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
