Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with daily activities and dignity-preserving support
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility as needed
Take and record vital signs and routine observations accurately and timely
Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff and document per facility guidelines
Support safe transfer and mobility techniques to reduce fall risk
Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver person-centered care and a positive resident experience

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) — active and in good standing in Pennsylvania
Previous experience as a CNA preferred but motivated newcomers who meet certification requirements are welcome
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Reliable transportation for getting to Gettysburg Center for shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient handling
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, feeding assistance, toileting support
Infection prevention and resident safety practices
Clear documentation and timely reporting of resident status
Teamwork, professionalism, and respectful communication with residents and families
