Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident environments and assist with meal service as needed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote holistic care
• Follow facility policies, infection control practices, and documentation standards

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and work collaboratively with a team
• Comfort with charting and following care plans; attention to detail is a must
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundational nursing assistant skills and resident-centered care techniques
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safe patient handling, and basic ADL support
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and care teams
• Ability to observe, document, and escalate changes in resident condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
