Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote patient comfort and safety
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Accurately document care, observations, and patient responses in the chart
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently on per diem shifts
• Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills and comfort with ADLs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Accurate vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
