Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed nights (varies by assignment), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift (12-hour)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
Perform routine vital signs, observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and independence
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment
Support the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care with dignity and respect

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Mexico
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently on per-diem assignments
Previous long term care or rehabilitation experience a plus but not required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and resident mobility assistance
Basic knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
Strong observation and communication skills to report resident status
Team player with a caring attitude and attention to detail
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
