Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and transfer techniques
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtime and feeding as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, observations, and patient responses
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents and staff safe
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate clearly with patients and team members

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic charting and care documentation
