Location: North Cape May, NJ

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (Per Diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Day/Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility while promoting independence
Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Take and record vital signs and document care accurately and timely
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
Support the interdisciplinary care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Jersey
Comfortable working 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shifts on a per diem basis
Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR preferred or willing to obtain
Clear background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations) as per facility policy
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Compassionate attitude with patience and respect for residents

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in providing direct resident care and assisting with ADLs
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
Able to take and document vital signs and observe changes in condition
Good interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
Familiarity with electronic or paper charting is a plus
