Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: As scheduled (Per Diem), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents at the rehab center
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Collaborate with nurses and rehabilitation staff to implement care plans
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential—required
Active authorization to work in New Mexico
Previous experience in rehab or long-term care preferred
Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain a reliable schedule
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and ADLs
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
Infection control and safe hygiene practices
Effective teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary staff
Basic electronic documentation/charting
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
