Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 6:30 PM - 6:30 PM NOC

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming—with compassion and respect
Provide safe and comfortable transfers and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime assistance and ensure dietary needs are met
Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control practices
Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support and dignity

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (lifting, transfers, standing for shifts)
Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques and personal care procedures
Vital signs monitoring and documentation
Safe transfer and ambulation assistance
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
Respectful, empathetic communication with residents and team members
