Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility in a respectful manner
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care using facility charting systems
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Contribute to a positive resident experience by promoting dignity, comfort, and independence

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Jersey
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or as required by the facility
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a patient-first mindset
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Competence with resident care and activities of daily living
• Comfort measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and electronic health record familiarity
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nurses
