Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with colleagues
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Respect residents dignity, privacy, and individual care preferences

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings (experience preferred)
• Clear background check and ability to pass facility-required screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and high school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing and personal care procedures
• Skill in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Good documentation habits and basic charting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
