Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients while maintaining dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and ambulation to reduce fall risk
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nursing staff
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
Contribute to a positive, respectful environment that supports patient recovery

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Active CNA authorization to practice in New Mexico required
Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Background check and any required facility screenings must be completed

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care fundamentals and comfort with hands-on assistance
Basic vital signs assessment and documentation skills
Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
Clear communication and teamwork skills with clinicians and families
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs in a busy setting
