Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (as assigned), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and resident monitoring
Document resident condition and care provided accurately and timely
Support safe mobility and fall prevention with proper transfer techniques
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team
Observe and report changes in resident status to the nurse in charge
Help maintain a clean, comfortable and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in New Mexico
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
Comfortable with lifting, assisting with mobility and performing physical aspects of care

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures and infection control practices
Skill in safe resident transfers and use of assistive devices
Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
Teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude toward patient dignity
