Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate direct patient care as an LPN at the Rio Rancho Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting and follow facility protocols for patient safety
• Educate patients and families in a respectful, understandable way to support recovery
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (must be current and in good standing)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapting to per-diem schedules
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; professional bedside manner
• Previous LPN experience in similar settings is a plus but motivated new grads are welcome

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN certificate or diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV/SC basics relevant to LPN scope
• Patient assessment, vital signs, and basic wound care
• Documentation best practices and electronic medical record familiarity
• Infection control, safety protocols, and patient-centered communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs effectively
