Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that makes a real difference
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the care team
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and support their comfort
- Maintain clear, timely electronic health record documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working per diem shifts and adapting to varying schedules
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and observation skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Wound care and assistance with ADLs
- Accurate EHR/charting and documentation habits
- Infection prevention and safety best practices
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
