Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients in the center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
- Monitor patient status, record vital signs, and report changes to the care team
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic clinical procedures as needed
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or compact license eligibility
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Clinical experience as an LPN preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent vocational nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Wound care and basic clinical procedures
- Electronic health record (EHR) charting and accurate documentation
- Infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
